im interested in being as healthy as possible. what is the best diet to achieve that goal?

i appreciate that you want to do whatever is necessary to be healthy, and its music to my ears that you are looking to improve upon your food choices. :)   as far as the ’best diet’…well the word diet incites such negative feelings for so many people that i prefer to just say foods we eat.  i dont believe that there is a best meal plan for everyone because there are so many factors that come into play for each and every one of us, for instance, food allergies, ethnicity, medical conditions, lifestyle… however what i can say is that there are some things that have been proven to work for all of us: avoiding or limiting the amount of refined foods, processed foods, genetically modified foods, fatty foods, sugar, trans fats and rancid oils consumed.  if you do this, you can focus on real foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains… remember life begets life. happy eating!
